Visual inspection of tubes

Through its partnership with Aicon, ST offers specialized inspection systems for QA in the tube bending process which allows speeding up inspection and improves efficiency of bending machines without having to use mechanical gauges at several points. Additionally, non contact inpection stations allow for true 3D CAD comparison.

High speed cameras for production troubleshooting and mechanisms fine-tuning

ST has built up extensive expertise in manufacturing floor problem solving in over 16 years of serving customers, using Fastec high-speed cameras to record the fast mechanical events, for instant slow motion playback, allowing the discovery and understanding of movements too fast for the eye or camcorders to perceive.

ST provides solutions based on cameras with outstanding image quality at rates of thousand frames per second in compact, point-and-shoot packages for observing and recording high-speed mechanical processes under standard operational situations to improve operational efficiency by reducing downtime and waste.

These high–speed images instantly played back in slow motion, allow engineers to see, measure and understand the fast mechanical movements that cause the prototype testing failures and manufacturing problems.

Applications include:
  • Automated assembly
  • Electrical components
  • Electronics
  • Machine tool feed & speed optimization
  • Metal products
  • Labeling

Software for data and image analysis

Within the solutions ST offers, data analysis software represents one key element. Dedicated software packages for different tasks and data mix are designed for fast and consistent evaluation of acquired data and images according to international standards for signal filtering and recommendations for measurement techniques.

Depending on data sources and number of channels, software solutions catalog and store the data from in pre-defined files format that allow the data to be readily accessible for analysis, data correlation, comparison, summarizing, evaluate and reporting, space and time calibration and automatic tracking. in an easy way by means of using advanced analysis features and editing tools such as (drag & drop, logos and images, coloring, graphs-images-data mix and mach) for customization. A variety of display and report generation possibilities are available for presenting the measured data in graphs, curves, alphanumeric, tables, etc. Additionally, database management capabilities are provided to satisfy long-term and high-volume archiving needs.

Software suites and options include:
  • Data acquisition systems analysis software
  • Calibration software for testing devices
  • 2D & 3D motion analysis software for high speed image sequences.
  • Software for lens and camera calibration and distortions measurement (ISO).
  • Viewing software for external and external users to visualize image and data files.
  • Data archive software for test data
