Noise and vibration analysis
ST integrates solutions for acoustics and vibration analysis based on imc measurement hardware combined with imc WAVE software under a project-oriented methodology. Solutions typically include the associated measurement amplifiers. Packages functionality are custom integrated to meet your applications requirements, check out the range of possibilities: Order tracking analysis Along with the various types of FFT analysis of time-domain signals, there is also the possibility to perform special frequency analysis as a function of the rotation rate. This analysis of harmonics especially helps investigating RPM-dependent vibrations and to determine critical RPM-values. Order tracking analysis makes it possible to distinguish between vibrations caused by external forces and those due to resonances in the structure. Spectrum analyzer Here it’s possible to analyze a wide variety of spectrum representations. The calculation procedures include 1/3-octaves, octave spectra and narrow band spectra (FFT-spectra). There are many settings options for the time and frequency weighting, as well as selections for the windowing function. Sound power analyzer The sound power is determined by means of the average sound pressure level on an enclosing measurement surface. The enclosing surface can be a sphere or hemisphere or be given by 1 to 6 freely defined surfaces. Measurements according to ISO 3741, 3743, 3744, 3745, 3746 and 11094 are supported. Standards-compliant measurement of workplace noise The workplace noise is determined in accordance with ISO 11201. The module can also be used as a plug-in for spectrum analysis in order to avoid time-demanding parallel measurements if sound power levels and workplace noise. Standards-compliant pass-by analysis of motor vehicles This module serves the special purpose of measuring noise of passing vehicles in accordance with ISO 362. In this procedure, the vehicle drives at constant speed into the test stretch and undergoes full acceleration in 2nd gear at the measurement’s start. During the ride, additional signals from the CAN- or LIN-Bus can be captured in synchronicity. Personal WAVE This enables the performance of analyses which can only be inadequately handled by standard analyzers. In conjunction with FAMOS and Online FAMOS, sequences can be written for the time-domain data. imc WAVE is able to import, transfer and display the quantities computed. Standard measurement procedures such as those stipulated by DIN 45657, EN ISO 5349-1 and ISO 2631-1 can also be carried out. Structure Analyzer This analyzer enables mechanical structures to be investigated for resonances. Toward this end, a defined force signal is applied to the structure with acceleration sensors. Simultaneous processing of all signals enables the transfer function to be determined which completely describes the structure’s vibration behavior. For subsequent processing, not only the signal analysis software FAMOS is available but also an interface for the popular analysis programs ME´Scope™ and µ-Remus |
